She testified that she followed up on the telephone conversation with a letter on September 14, 1982, announcing that she wanted to widen the road. The next communication she received was a letter from David Konick, the Kid wells’ attorney, Saltonstall said. “It was very legalistic, very harsh. He told me not to speak to the Kidwells again. So that stopped all communication between two neighbors. I had no chocie but to get an attorney.”
