Letter From Kidwell
Giving her version of the history of the right-of-way dispute, Saltonstall recalled that she received a letter in March, 1982, from Diane Kidwell asking for a contribution to gravel the section of roadway through their property. “I told her I’d be agreeable to talking about it after the road was properly graded and ditched,” Saltonstall said, explaining that without those improvements, gravel would just wash away. “Mrs. Kidwell said I’d have to talk to her husband but he never called.”
