Estes asked if membership on the WSA was limited to five persons. “If they need financial help, maybe we could add another member rather than replace someone who already serves. The people on the WSA now have done a terrific job,” Estes said. “If they don’t resign, it would be a tremendous help.”
Clerk Diane Bruce agreed to check with the board’s legal advisor on limits on WSA membership.
Wayne Cilimberg, recently appointed executive director of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission, reported that no final, formal word has been received yet on official award of the EPA grant which must occur before the state’s block grant agreement with the county is signed. “We’re still waiting to hear,” he said, adding that federal officials have asked for more paperwork.
