'Hie original play, “Voices of Rappahannock,” written and directed by Catherine Kiley to celebrate the sesquicentennial, opened Friday at the Gay Street Theater. In the program, Kiley sets the scene for this.unusual production by saying, “ ‘Voices’ takes place in the misty area of the past called memory. The subject is how people feel about their past, rather than a portrayal of the history of proven facts. The stories are the making of myth, as told from one person to another, one generation to another, sifted through many hearts, and finally acquiring the value of a time that will never be again.”
