He returned to VPI&SU in September of 1979, completing his master’s coursework in September of 1981.
Cilimberg is married to the former Barbara Dale Horsley of Richmond.

The national unemployment rate for October was 8.4 percent compared to 5.4 percent in Virginia. Although the national rate decreased somewhat, the rates in the state and in the ninth planning district rose somewhat. VEC officials said a seasonal upswing in unemployment was considered normal as activity in the garment and construction industries decreased. The state rate was also affected by the drought’s impact on crop harvesting and processing.
