EMT-A Refresher

An EMT-A refresher course will be conducted at Fauquier Hospital in January.

Classes will be held Friday, January 6, (>-10; Saturday, January 7, 8-4:30, Friday, January 20, 7-10 and Saturday, January 21, 8-4:30.

Students must attend all classes and practical sessions to be eligible to take the Virginia State Examination. Basic requirements are current, nonexpired EMT-A certification and current CPR certification good through at least March, 1984. Individuals who have completed a full EMT-A course within the last six months hut who have either not taken state examination or who failed state examination may register for this course. Course instructors will be Marie Anderson, Paul Fries, Reid Hill, Carol Wickert and Larry Genebach.

To register prior to December 31, call 3649699, 9-5 weekdays. Classes will be limited to 25 students. Those wishing to register by mail should send name, EMT-A number and address plus telephone number to Larry Genebach, PO Box 42, Amissville, Virginia 22002.

RAAC Meetings Planned

The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) will hold an executive board meeting on Tuesday, December 13, at 4:30 p.m. at the group’s offices in the Gay Street Theater.

RAAC’s general board meeting is set for Sunday, December 18, at 4:30 p.m. in the court house. The public is invited to attend the general meeting to share ideas and concerns.

Heart Volunteer Recruitment
