On Nov. 15 and 16, the Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department will present the third annual Santa’s Village with an old town atmosphere where children can see presents being made for Christmas. Glass sculpture, art and more will be featured.
Philip Holwager, a glass sculptor from Harpers Ferry, will be making many crystal item ; including pianos, ships, unicorns, eagles, clowns and animals of all sizes. Other new crafts will include bears, small enough to use as Christmas decorations to big, huggable teddy bears, dolls, clothes, music boxes, wood items for around the house, needlecraft and wood toys. Several crafters will provide personalized items to take home.
There will be plenty of food with sandwiches, homemade candy, jellies, breads, fruitcake, nachos and cheese, pizza, soft drinks and more available.
Santa’s Village, at the Warrenton National Guard Armory, will be open 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. Admission will be free for children
