Miss Mary Massie Lea,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Lea of Washington, has been named one of six members of the student body at Stuart Hall, Staunton, eligible for the cherished honor of membership in E.L.A., the honor society of Stuart Hall.
The Rappahannock High School cleared about $229 on the Halloween party held at the school Friday night.
A large delegation of Rappahannock voters, headed by James W. Fletcher, attended a Warren County Democratic rally held at Front Royal to hear Rep. Burr Harrison reply to charges he said are being made by Republicans over the radio and in newspaper advertising.
Mr. Harrison was presented by State Senator Raymond J. Guest.
This week only, the Jewel 1 Box in Front Royal offered an automatic, electric, two-slice popup toaster for $12.95. Buyers could put 95 cents down and pay $1 a week, if they desired. The Economy Shop sold work pants for $2.98 a pair.
