Without government officials’ liability coverage, the WSA members,, cannot incur personal liability if they are acting within' their designated authority, Mr. Baumgardner stressed. And even with full coverage, they can still become personally liable.
As an example, Mr. Baumgardner said, if a WSA member on an inspection visit to Sperryville’s sewage treatment facility maliciously shoots someone, that member would be personally liable, no matter how complete the insurance povpracrp.
