Compare school spending
To the editor:
The annual report of Virginia’s Superintendent of Public Instruction for the 1984-85 school year offers some astonishing insights into Rappahannock County’s school system as it compares with the other 93 county school districts in our state.
How are we different from, or like, other districts? How do we fare at the hands of the state in getting school funds? How are we doing in digging into our own pockets for our children’s sake?
For starters, here is a look at what we spend per pupil on the operation of the regular day school in comparison with all Virginia’s counties:
