Club will meet Wednesday, July 20, at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. E. N. Montague near Sperryville. Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., program chairman, will have as her program theme “The American Flag.”

Sharp gusts of wind Monday evening blew a tree on the power line in the Slate Mills area, leaving residents without electricity for over two hours. The tree was felled at the home of Mrs. Ethel Frazier.
