The Flint Hill Extension Homemakers Club held their annual picnic July 8 at the home of Mrs. Wade Pullen with an attendance of more than 30.

Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker spent the weekend in Roanoke and attended the Miss Virginia Pageant there.

Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Carson Lillard Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Lillard and Amy of Gainesville, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Dellinger and children, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Moats and Donald Barry of Front Royal.

Mrs. Robert W. Curtis and son Joshua of Tulsa, Okla., were expected to arrive Tuesday to spend a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Curtis.

Mrs. Mary Blaisdell attended the Pearson family reunion in Front Royal Sunday.

The United Methodist Women of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church will meet Monday, July 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Janet Eastham.

The Flint Hill Firemen and Ladies Auxiliary are busy making preparations for the annual firemen’s carnival to be held at the carnival grounds July 30 through August 2. We’ll have more details on the event in next week’s column. ~t ■ ■ ■ •

Mr. and Mrs. Cary Gordon Thornhill, Jr. of Culpeper are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Brittany Simone, on June 27 at Fauquier Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 1/2 ounces.

Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. C. Gordon Thornhill, Sr., of Boston. Maternal grandparents are Leonard Kopjanski and Ms. Irene Kopjanski of Shelton, Conn. Mrs. Cary G. Thornhill of Boston is the little girl’s paternal great-grandmother.
