Linda Henry, county executive director of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS), recently informed sheep growers in Warren and Rappahannock Counties that incentive payments for wool and mohair sold through other than normal trade channels will be based on the method by which the sale was made.
“We wanted to clear up any misunderstandings and answer certain questions about the eligibility of producers to receive incentive payments for wool and mohair sales to persons or business entities who buy through other than normal trade channels,” she said.
