Acreage reports

The Rappahannock County Office of Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service is now accepting acreage reports for 1986, including acres planted, diverted, idled, and other farm program uses. The final reporting date is July 15, according to ASCS official Linda Henry.
Program participants are required to report crops and acreages planted and the uses to be made of these crops, acreage conservation reserve or idled cropland, and acres diverted for payment. She said that producers not participating in the 1986 programs should report their crops to insure future benefits and to protect acreage bases.
After farmers report their acres, the ASCS county office will select farms at random to verify that acreage reports are accurate.
