On Wednesday, November 19, the Mental Health Association of Rappahannock County will offer to the community another in its series of programs on mental health issues. This fall Ms. Denise Donatelli, MS, will speak on Child Discipline.
Ms. Donatelli, an expert in the field, will address such issues as the developmental stages of childhood; what forms of discipline are appropriate for a given age; how can discipline be applied while maintaining a child’s self-esteem, and what types of punishments work and what types do not.
This past year the Mental Health Association has sponsored programs on Depression and Religion and Mental Health. The association believes the program on discipline will provide especially useful information to parents and child-caretakers.
