RAAC presents the Artists’ Forum

“Why Do We Do It?” is the theme of the Artists’ Forum meeting Friday, November 14, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Blackwater Homestead. Starting with a potluck supper, this meeting will be led by Sally Nash. To reserve a space or get more information, call RAAC at 675-3193 or Sally Nash at 987-8451. The general public is invited to attend these seminars.

Festival of Praise at FWC

Family Worship Center invites everyone to a “Fall Festival of Praise" on Saturday, November 15, at 6 p.m. Local singing groups will be featured and refreshments will be served. Family Worship Center is located in Washington in the Old School Building on Route 626. For more information phone 675-3874.

Happy eating for the holidays

A program entitled “Guilt-Free Holiday Eating” will be presented Monday, November 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Washington. The approaching holiday seasons can present difficulties to those people suffering from diabetes and cardiovascular problems. Tips will be shared on ways to modify traditional methods of cooking and recipes to meet the specific needs of less sugar, lower cholesterol, and salt in the diet. A fee of $2 per person will be charged. The deadline for registration is November 20. For more information, call the Extension Office at 675-3619.
