Writer/photographer Karl Kocivar spends much of his time criss-crossing the state of Colorado compiling his popular Pocket Guide to Colorado. On a recent trip to Lake Irwin, near Crested Butte (elevation 10,200 feet), he recorded a splashy moment at the wheel of his remarkable 1966 Peugeot 403.
“I drive my 403 over the Continental Divide and throughout Colorado on a regular basis,” Kocivar reports. “It has more than 412,000 miles on it and I can still rely on it.”
