The troopers found a total of 13 violations, including five overweight trucks, six equipment violations (including one radar detector), one inspection and one registration violation.
Trooper Newlin explained that it is not necessary to weigh every truck. “You can almost tell (from experience) the trucks that are going to be overweight. We pick the ones that appear to be loaded unusually, for example. We also check the bill of lading against the license weight. You can usually tell. ”
