Harvest dinner at Forest Grove
The Forest Grove Baptist Church will serve its annual fall harvest supper on Saturday, November 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the old Forest Grove School House in Viewtown. This year’s menu will feature the traditional turkey and old Virginia ham along with vegetables, bread, beverage and dessert.
Tickets may be purchased in advance from any member of Forest Grove Baptist Church or at the door. Carry-out boxed meals will also be available. Tickets for all adult meals and all carry-out boxes will cost $6.50. Tickets for children under 12 coming to the dinner may be purchased for $3. All proceeds will go to benefit the Forest Grove Baptist Church. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Community forum
The Outreach Committee of Trinity Church is sponsoring an open meeting Tuesday evening, November 18, at 7:30 in the parish hall to explore and discuss unmet needs in Rappahannock County. Dessert and coffee will be served. The public is invited.

Les Comperes, a French farce by Francis Veber, screenwriter of La Cage Aux Folles, will be playing at the Gay Street Theatre on Saturday, November 1,5 and Sunday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m. Called a “delightful joyride,” the story involves the efforts of two men to guide a teenaged boy, who eadh>b£lieves is his son.
Amissville 4-H Club to meet
The Amissville 4-H Club will meet Thursday, November 20, at 7 p.m. at the Amissville United Methodist Church. Anyone from age 9 to 19 can join 4-H. Parents are also welcome.
ARB to meet
The Architectural Review Board will meet Thursday, November 20, at 8 p.m. in the Courthouse. Interested persons are urged to attend.
‘Magic of Folktales’ at CCLC
The Magic of Grimm's Folktales will be explored at the Child Care and Learning Center by Obie-award winning actress storyteller Julie Portman. Julie will tell the tales of The Fisherman and His Wife and Snow White and involve the children through their own movement and characterizations in imaginative re-telling of the stories. The dates for the program are Thursday and Friday, November 20 and 21, and Tuesday and Wednesday, December 2 and 3, from 3:45 to 4:45. The cost is $16 plus a $2 registration fee. Christmas wreath workshop
Friends of Blandy Farm have invited the residents of Rappahannock and Fauquier County to join them on December 8 at 1:30 p.ip. for an enjoyable afternoon making Christmas door wreaths at a cost of only $7.50. This includes frame, wire, ribbon and greenery. To make your reservations, call the Extension Office at 675-3619. Space is limited, so make reservations soon!
Dance series to begin
A new eight-week dance series with instructor Betty Kerr will begin Thursday, November 20, at the Child Care and Learning Center. The pre-school dance class begins at 3:45 and ends at 4:15. The cost for the series is $24 plus a $2 registration fee. The school-age dance class begins at 4:20 and ends at 5:20 and the cost is $32. An adult class will meet from 5:30 to 6:30.
