If you have been following along? with us these past several weeks, youj m will know we have been studying "TheSf 9 Lord’s Prayer”; found in Matt., Chap 6, J ^verses 9 thru 13. The reason for |» studying this prayer is to help you

9 grow spiritually and be in fellowship^ ? with God. This week we will look at the# line "and forgive us our debts as we ? forgive our debtors ”. First, ask God toy forgive you. If you are born again, then 0 you are not a sinner. You have been? redeemed from sin. Even though sin isy 5 not your nature, you may fall and sin. ? 0 When you do, the Bible says in I John X 1:9; "If we confess our sins, He is 9 faithful and just to forgive us our sins, ? and to cleanse us from all unrigh-S teousness.” When you sin, deal with it 5 right away. Ask God to reveal areas in £| your life that are not pleasing to Him. # Once you have confessed your sin, 9 don't allow condemnation to hinder y you. 0
Remember, I John 1:9 said that X God has forgiven our sin when wey confess it and He cleanses us with the# ' blood of Jesus. You are clothed with j? the righteousness of Jesus. God onlyy sees Jesus when He looks at you, if? UAil hov/o r'AnfnrrnH i/Aiir cine onri ■ i you have confessed your sins andj , asked His forgiveness. (Read 2nd Co-y i rinthians 5:21). Next, we must forgives | others if we will be forgiven ourselves. ~ i Mark 11.25 says, if we have anything > against anyone, we must forgive themy [ or our heavenly Father will not forgive# i us our trespasses. The Bible teaches 9 ' us to love our enemies, and to bless? [them that curse us. (Matt. 5:44) This# i can be done, because if you are born? ’ again, then the love of God has beeny (shed abroad in your heart by the Holy# i Spirit. (Romans 5:5). Make up yourj ! mind to return good for evil because ofy (that love that is in your heart. You? • don’t have to do this on
your own. J [That is why Jesus sent us the Holyy > Spirit; to help us in all areas of our life ? •He will help you forgive others and? | love them that hate you.
