Woolly bear
contest still on
Because of the mild fall weather experienced by the area thus far, the woolly bears have not been as plentiful as normal. As a result, the Fourth Annual Woolly Bear Contest is going to be extended until November 15th. The Hagerstown Town & Country Almanack, sponsors of the Contest, said they have only received a small number of woolly bears during the month of October and would like to have more entries.
As a reminder, there are two categories, each awarding a $100 prize to the first place winner. The one category is for the “cutest and cuddliest” and the second is for the “biggest and wooliest.”
All entries are to be taken to Woolly Bear Headquarters at 111 W. Washington Street in Hagerstown.
The winners will be announced the third week of N ovember.
Remember, your newly found Woolly Bear may be worth $100!!!
