Due to the ever increasing volume of food received, processed and distributed, the Food Bank found itself with products stored at five different locations in the Staunton area causing an inefficient and needlessly expensive situation. A search was conducted and a building was identified and obtained in Verona, Virginia.

The building, located across from McQuay on Rt. 612 in Verona, was formerly occupied by Standard Tile and All Weather Insulation Companies. The storage building with of- ■ fices attached has been completely modernized and equipped. A display area and facilities for handling salvage products have been added. A large 40,000 cubic foot capacity combination freezer/cooler has been erected, capable of storing some 150 pallets of product.
