Because of decreases in finding, H the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center van route serving Rappahannock County was eliminated, effective March 2. As a result, several Rappahannock residents will no longer be transported to FORE workshops in Warrenton and Remington.
FORE is a private, non-profit community based organization providing vocational training and services to handicapped residents in Planning District 9, which includes Rappahannock County.
The transportation cutback will affect five Rappahnnock County residents, living in the Washington and Sperryville area, who are presently enrolled in FORE programs. If the individuals affected by the cutback could get to Culpeper or Warrenton in the morning, and back to Rappahannock in the evening, they could connect with van routes still in operation and continue to receive services.
FORE asks that anyone willing to help any of these persons by carpooling into Warrenton or Culpeper Monday through Friday, or any of those days, should contact David Lambelet at (703) 439-3505.
