To questions from The Rappahannock News, the superintendent said that approximately 40 percent of this year’s educational expenditures were covered by state revenue and five percent by federal contributions. For 1987-88, “the state’s percentage is going up and the federal percentage is going down - considerably ... The differences won’t balance. We expect a significant loss,” he concluded.
