To the editor:

The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department would like to thank the Culpeper and Rappahannock communities for their continued support and contributions.

Our department responded to 97 calls in Rappahannock County and 50 calls in Culpeper County. During 1986 our Rescue Squad answered 57 calls in Rappahannock County and 132 calls in Culpeper County.

The officers for the 1987 year are: David Sheffield, president; C. G. Lawrence, vice-president; Sheila Scott, secretary; Diane Morris, treasurer; Paul Poling, chief; Scott Chamberlain, assistant chief; Kelley Layton, captain; Robert Croston, lieutenant; J. B. Carter Jr., EMS captain; Sheila Scott, EMS lieutenant.

Personnel successfully completing training this year were:

EMT: Keith Morris, Scott Chamberlain, David Sheffield, Kelley Layton, Diane Morris, Sharon Scott, Jim Woodard, Carl Grohs.
