this is a community service job. It pays about $1.30 a day . . . anybody who takes it has to be out to serve the public - the other four members of the board are four dedicated men who have the best interests of Rappahannock County at heart.
“You couldn’t find any better people - they put the interests of citizens above all else.
“I’ve watched people take shots at the board members, and it bothers me to hear people say ’they’re a bunch of crooks, they’re going to do whatever they want, they don’t listen to anyone else’ ... if there are other people out there who think they can do a better job, let them try.”
He said that the biggest three items to face Rappahannock County in a long time: the landfill, school expansion and the reassessment, “will be well in hand by the year’s end. These problems, especially the landfill, are going to be solved in a manner beneficial to the county over the
