Workers’ school
at FR UMC May 16
Christian Workers’ School courses will be offered at the Front Royal United Methodist Church on May 16 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. These courses are of interest to church members, leaders, and teachers. The following 6 hour courses are taught by certified instructors: Understanding Youth; How to Teach Children; How to Teach Adults.

Women’s Slo-pitch
tourney May 16
The Fauquier County Women’s Slo-Pitch Softball League is sponsoring a double elimination tournament, to be held Saturday, May 16 at the ball fields at Coleman Elementary School in Marshall. If there are enough teams participating, the fields at Marshall Junior High School will also be used.
Trophies will be awarded to the teams finishing first and second in the tournament, and two Most Valuable Player trophies will also be presented.
The entry fee is $65 per team. Each team must supply two redstitched, restricted-flight softballs.
