“I’m worried about the liability,” said Supervisor Newbill Miller. “If we pass an ordinance and then don’t enforce it, then I think we’d be more liable than if we never had one in the first place.”
“I don’t think we have sufficient answers today to act,” added Supervisor Estes.
By consensus, the board agreed to table the Health Department’s petition for a cat vaccination ordinance pending advice from the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
