Last week in Nuggets we looked at the fact that Jesus will not only save you, but will heal you also (1 Peter 2:24). If Jesus is the healer then why are some Christians sick?
One reason; God has a law called the law of sowing and reaping. Galatians chap. 6 verse 7 says whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. Verse 8 says if we sow to the flesh or to bad things we will reap bad things, if we sow to Godly things, we will reap Godly things. If I sow seeds of weeds I will reap weeds. You may have sown bad seeds in your lifetime and are reaping a harvest from those bad seeds now. Jesus will help you root out those bad seeds if you ask him to.
Another reason Christians are sometime sick is because they reject the knowledge that Jesus not only died for their sin, He also died so we could walk in health and happiness. Hosea 4:6 in part says "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge, because they rejected knowledge. "Psalm 103 says “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of his benefits: who forgives all your sins and who heals all your diseases;" (please read through verse 5).
The word salvation means not only saved from eternal hell, but is also means deliverance, preservation, rescue and healing.
If we forget God’s benefits, and one is - He will heal all our diseases; then we will continue to stay sick.
It takes faith to move God, when we believe what the Bible says about us is true, then we can enjoy good health.
Do you wish to trade your sickness for health? It's up to you, just accept what God has done for us when he sent Jesus, believe in your heart that all things are possible and you can trade your sickness for health!
