In the first reaction to the $213,234 cut from the proposed 1987-88 school budget, Superintendent Robert Estabrook has asked the School Board to ignore the request of the Board of Supervisors, and instead of eliminating the 984 pupil system’s seventh administrator, drop two teaching positions at the elementary school.
He also proposed that administrative pay increases be upped from the five percent suggested by the supervisors to eight percent, with the assistant superintendent’s to be raised 10 percent u> out some distance between that salary and the high school principal’s.
