Pig roast at Castleton An all-you-can eat pig roast dinner with all the trimmings will be served at the Castleton fire hall on Sunday, May 17 from 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. The dinner is sponsored by the Castleton Fire Department. For additional information call Peggy Woodward at 937-4065. ‘Voices’ at RCHS Voices of Rappahannock written by Catherine Kiley, will be presented at RCHS on Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16. Curtain time is 8 p.m. The production, originally presented by RAAC in 1988, has been modified slightly for the high school cast. Ms. Kiley said both she and the cast are excited about th^play. ARB to meet The Architectural Review Board will meet Thursday, May 21, at 8 p.m. in the courthouse. Interested persons are urged to attend.
Birthday celebration A special birthday celebration honoring Mrs. Alice Porter of Washington will be held at Promise Land Baptist Church on Saturday, May 23 at 7 p.m. Various gospel groups will be featured and the public is invited.
Sock hop on Friday The RCES PTA is hosting its last sock hop of the year. The dance will be held from 7-9 p.m., Friday, May 15 in the elementary school’s gym. Everyone is invited to dress Hawaiian style in accordance with the dance’s Hawaiian theme. For a musical treat a live band will play. The group consists of high school students from MarmaMwGallery
Coffee House There will be a coffee house at the Middle Street Gallery on Saturday, May 16, from 8:30 til midnight. There will be an opfen stage. The entire community is invited to come and bring their talent. Refreshments will be available. Admission is $2.
Beauty pageant photos ready Pictures from the annual beauty pageant sponsored by the Sperryville Rescue Squad are ready for pickup. Contestants are requested to be at the VFW hall on Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. For additional information contact Nancy Leake at 987-8971.
