Roy A. Alther was best man for his brother. Ushers were Roy Alther Jr., Dave Dodson, Dennis Ralls Jr., Albert Payne and Daniel Breeden.

The guest book was attended by Miss Renea Breeden.

The reception was held at the Sperryville Fire Hall. Mrs. Barbara Payne attended the gift table. Miss Janie Atkins and Mrs. Joyce Ralls cut and served the cake. Punch was served by Sharon and Melissa Payne.

Mr. and Mrs. Alther graduated from Rappahannock High School in 1969 and 1970, respectively. Both are employed by Aileen Inc. of Flint Hill.

The couple is residing in Washington.
