Farm show planned
The Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannock Farm Show will be held July 23-27 at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprise Grounds. Saturday, July 25, is Rappahannock Day. For additional information call the Rappahannock Extension office at 675-3619.
6A Room with a View’
The movie A Room with a View will be playing at the Gay Street Theatre on July 18 and 19 at 7:30 each evening. A gorgeous adaptation of E. M. Forster’s sweetest novel, with Maggie Smith, Denholm Elliott and Helena Bonham Carter leading a genteel ensemble cast. This pleasing, mouth-puckering social commentary concerns the Italian adventures of a party of quintessentially British globetrotters and how travel broadens their lives back home in the Surrey countryside. James Ivory directs Ruth Prawer Jhabvala’s witty and delicate Oscarwinning screenplay, with exquisite cinematography by Tony PierceRoberts. This film also received Oscars for costume design and art direction. A uniformly excellent and literate film, the movie is unrated. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
Painting class at CCLC
Painting classes for ages 6-10 will be held at the Child Care and Learning Center August 10-14 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Your child will enjoy creating a series of acrylic paintings on canvas board. The theme of their series will be one they choose. The emphasis of the course will be on finding a meaningful image, developing it from different angles, and using high-quality materials. There will be daily drawing exercises and a public showing of the final works.
Laurie Marshall will be the instructor. The fee which will include materials is $30. For additional information call CCLC at 675-3237.

4-H summer camps
4-H Junior Camp for ages 9-12 will be held August 10-14 at the 4-H Center near Front Royal. The cost for the week of overnight camn is $70.
4-H Junior High Camp for grades 7-9 will be held August 20-September 3 at the 4-H Center. Cost for camp is $70. Call the Extension Office at 675-3619 or come by for information.
