Sen. Warner and Republican Sen. Paul Trible of Virginia stood with Democratic Reps. James Olin of the 6th District and Frederick Boucher of the 9th District in a bipartisan show of support for the bill.
Rep. Boucher said the areas are favorites for outdoor enthusiasts and include native trout streams, black bear and wild turkey as well as large stretches of virgin timber.
