Helen Keyser

Helen 0. Keyser, 81, of Luray, died July 4 at Page Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 21, 1906 in South Carolina, a daughter of John Dean and Quincy E. Moody Owen.

Mrs. Keyser was a member of the Luray United Methodist Church.

On Jan. 14, 1929, she married Robert W. Keyser, who died June 30, 1969. Her husband was a prominent Luray attorney, former Luray mayor and Democratic Party chairman.

Surviving are a daughter Martha Ann Critzer of Luray, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted July 7 at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray by the Rev. William Ricketts Jr. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Luray.

Oscar Jackson Deal, 69, of Reliance, died July 8 at the Winchester Medical Center. He was a retired employee of an auto body and paint shop.
