The board’s decision at last Wednesday’s meeting to table the question of advertising the delinquent list until next month drew fire from Robert Rantham
Since he returned to Rappahannock County 10 years ago, the supervisors have been talking about listing the names of delinquent taxpayers in the local newspaper with the aim of “getting money from the people in this county who will not pay taxes,” Mr. Eastham said.
“Screw up your courage,” he told the supervisors. “Get at it and put pressure on these people * to pay their taxes. Set a precedent for the future. ”
