PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING Virginia Department of Waste Management Strategic Planning Program The Virginia Department of Waste Management is responsible for a number of different programs, including: solid waste management, hazardous waste management, the siting of new hazardous waste management facilities, the transportation of hazardous materials, "Superfund", the management of low-level and high-level nuclear waste, and litter control and recycling. As part of our long-term planning efforts,-we are interested in learning what Virginians think of these issues, and we invite you to voice your opinions at one of two, free public informational meetings to be held in your area. These meetings will be held as follows: Harrisonburg Electric Commission, Harrisonburg, Virginia, Wednesday, September 23, 1987 1-3 p.m. or 7-9 p.m. in the Community Room
