Further, the committee recommends investigating whether a costsharing program could be hmded privately, that is, have the county’s 25 percent share paid for by the individual landowners themselves, "thus restricting the cost burden to only those affected."

Presented with the committee's report at last Wednesday's board meeting, the supervisors balked at the recommendation for creating and finding the coordinator’s position.
