Ms. Bailey is well-qualiiied to address the gamut of questions on this critical problem. She was previously an assistant attorney general for Virginia, serving as counsel to the State Board of Health, Health Commissioner and the State Department of Health on environmental matters. She has degrees from the University of Richmond School of Law, the Medical College of Virginia and the College of William and Mary.

RLEP has taken an active interest in the county’s landfill situation since 1984, addressing the problem in its newsletter and assisting community groups concerned about potential sites.

The site for RLEP’s meeting was changed to the elementary school to accommodate the expected audience.
