“Our commitment to transportation is always an issue,” Nancy Reeve said. She suggested that the Department of Transportation be contacted to see if it can provide any assistance “within its guidelines.”
“It doesn’t hurt to ask,” Mrs. Massie agreed. She proposed that the situation be left to the administration, and that any decision, including restrictions, be postponed until Dr. Gangel has received the expert assessment.
Outlay project continues
Dr. Gangel said that the expansion project at the high school is continuing, although the library is behind schedule because the carpeting has not been delivered. That means the stacks cannot be installed. The board agreed that rather than substitute carpeting of less quality the contractor should wait for the original carpeting.
The superintendent added that both new classrooms should be open within the next two weeks.
