“Wait a minute,” injected Mr. Miller, before a vote could be taken. “Maybe Hubie (Supervisor Chairman Hubert Gilkey) could meet with the council to see if we can work this out amicably. Let’s consult with the town before we abandon this long term verbal agreement.”
Mr. Henry withdrew his motion; Mr. Gilkey agreed to contact the Town Council and bring back a report to the board’s special session on Sept. 14.
“Let’s not take any action until after that meeting,” Mr. Miller repeated. His fellow supervisors agreed.
