With Central lodged firmly in first place in the district standings. Rappahannock trails Page County and Stonewall Jackson. "Rut it's real close,” the coach said. "How we play against .Stonewall will decide the playoff seed." He noted that only two losses separate the second, third, fourth and fifth-place teams in the district.
"The season will be determined in the next two weeks," he said. “If we can get together and improve the level of play, we've got a good chance. I can't stress enough how important these last games are.

“It comes down to the determination that the guys put forth in the next four games." Coach Leake continued. "They control their own destiny. It comes down to how bad they want the tournament — period.”
Gametime on Friday at Rappahannock is b p.m. for the junior varsity contest, with the varsity game following a short intermission. The public is invited to come and cheer the Panthers into the district tournament.
