“Since radon poses a potentially significant health risk,” Mr. Seward explained, “we wanted to provide this service to the residents of our service area. Preliminary tests have shown that as many as one out of three homes in Northern Virginia may have levels of radon gas above acceptable guidelines established by the EPA. Therefore, we wanted to offer a testing service the average homeowner could afford,” he concluded.
Aylor Promoted
Marine Pfc. Vincent S. Aylor, son of Russell L. Aylor of Route 1, Washington, Va., has been promoted to his present rank while serving with 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, Ca.
A 1983 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, Sperryville, he joined the Marine Corps in April, 1987.
