With Senators Dole and Gephardt winning the Iowa Caucus on Monday, the months ahead will be interesting as the presidential race heats up.
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Club announces dates for retreat and ARD (Area Recognition Days).
A retreat will be held June 5-10 in Front Royal, Va. at the 4-H Education Center. Members should contact their local chapter or write to Ruth Kelly, 15332 Cordary Ave., Lawndale, Calif. 90260 for more details.
ARD is scheduled May 6-7 at Staunton in the Ingleside Red Carpet Inn. Signup deadline is March 1.
Cost of tickets for ARD is $20. If you go down on Friday night, the hotel room is $33 for one person, up to $46 for a four-person room.
Workshops begin on Friday afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) banquet starts at 6:30 p.m. The Talent Show begins at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
On Saturday, the morning session is 10:00-12:00; lunch noon-2 pirn.; afternoon session from 2 to 4 p.m.
