her 1985 Dodge sedan slid on the snowy pavement. Trooper Baker said her car crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a 1985 International truck, driven by Mark Donald Spence, 25, of Winchester.

After hitting the truck Mrs. Jenkins’s car slid off the west side of Route 522, across a yard and hit a house owned by Woodrow B. Bennett.

The truck slid into a bank on the east side of the road, tearing off its front axle. As it slid back onto the road it turned onto its side, spilling diesel fuel and oil onto the highway.
