Real bug juice
Remember those childhood days at camp, when older children teased the younger ones by telling them that the fruit drinks they were served at mealtimes was “bug juice,” made by squeezing the insects collected on fly strips?
Apparently, the Chinese have the real thing: ant juice. And, they’re touting it as the ultimate health-food drink. According to International Wildlife magazine, ant juice is claimed to be the cure for all sorts of ailments. It is rich in protein and trace nutrients necessary for good health. There’s just one hitch: it can add inches to the waistline. Ants have four times as many calories per pound as beef.
