Agent, Agriculture, in Rappahannock County will retire from this position effective February 29, 1969. He has served in this capacity in Rappahannock for almost 23 years. Lyne has been eligible for retirement for three years, and says he finds it to his advantage in several ways to do so now.
Children who will enter the first grade at Rappahannock County Elementary School next year will be registered at the school on Tuesday, February 25 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., it was announced today by O.A. Norton, Superintendent of Schools. Every child in the county who will be 6 years of age on or before October 1, 1969 is to be registered by his parent or guardian at this time.

The Rappahannock Ski Area
reported the “largest weekend in its 10-year history” last week, and expectations for an even bigger weekend of skiing coming up. Russ Albert, Ski Area manager, said that more than 1,650 skiers were on the slopes last Saturday and Sunday. He said snow conditions remain “excellent,” and the area is expecting maybe even more skiers this week.
Forence Turner and Joanne Van B rede rode of Rappahannock County were named to the Dean’s List of Lord Fairfax Community College for the Fall Quarter.
