OAKWOOD is on the garden club tour.

Warrenton Garden Club tour

The Warrenton Garden Club's annual ' House and Garden Tour to benefit restoration and maintenance of old homes in Virginia will take place April 24-25 this year.

Homes on the tour include Linden House, Oakwood, St. Leonard's Farm, Windsor Pond and Neptune Lodge.

Tickets are available at St. James Episcopal Church on Culpeper Street in Warrenton or at any of the homes on the tour. For details call 703-347-7347.

Front Royal spring concert

The Front Royal Oratorio Society will hold its annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m. April 14 at the Front Royal Presbyterian Church.

The concert will honor those who served with the U.S. Armed Forces in Operation Desert Storm.

The first section of the program, John Rutter's "Requium," will be accompanied by organ and instrumental ensemble. Section Two will include "Songs of Nature" by Dvorak and "Ode on St. Cecilia's Day," by Handel. Both will be accompanied by organ.

The society, now in its 31 st year, includes members from Rappahannock and surrounding counties. Ronald Johnston is director and Beverly Clark is accompanist.

There is no charge and a nursery is provided. A reception will follow in the church social hall.
