The Middle Street Gallery in Washington will conduct a variety of workshops that are open to the public in April.
Introduction to Oriental Dance will be held on Wednesday evenings through May 1. Taught by Boston dancer Anthea Poole, the class will teach methods and “explore the dance’s place in women’s heritage.”
Beginners Oil Painting, taught by Billie Jean Henry, will be held Thursday afternoons through May 2.
The course will teach the basics of using oils, mixing colors, laying on colors, and using pure color to produce depth perception and realism in landscapes.
Art for Young People: Batik, Tie-Dye and Fabric Art will be held Thursday evenings through May 2. Karen Stinnett is the instructor.
Open to kids 6 years old and up, the class teaches children to work with wax and dyes to create designs on fabric.
