In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Shirley Atkins Berry; a son, Anthony E. “Andy” Berry of Washington; two brothers, Gordon Berry of Amissville and Don Berry of Rixeyville; and three sisters, Kay Crookshank and Connie Berry, both of Amissville and Marsha Butterfield of Fairfax County. He was predeceased by another son, Sonny Lee Berry. A graveside funeral was held Wednesday, April 10 at Washington Masonic Cemetery, the Rev. Darrell Bare officiating. Pallbearers were Newbill Miller, Charles Smoot, Brian Woodard, A1 Harp, Randolph Gray, Bobby W. Atkins, Warren Foster and Don Crookshank. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Baptist Church building fund. Geest-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. By the work one knows the workman.
